Godfrey de Long
West Coast Branch
Godfrey de Long is The Pole Yard’s business partner in the West Coast branch. Godfrey started working for The Pole Yard in May 2006, and was soon elevated to the position of Branch Manager at the Noordhoek Branch, where he remained until mid-2010.
It was around about this time that there was talk about opening a new ‘standalone’ outlet on the West Coast, and Godfrey was invited to become a Partner in this new Joint Venture model with Leeroy, John & James.
It was decided that Vredenburg was the ideal location for this new format of the Pole Yard brand, so in May 2010 Godfrey relocated to the West Coast where he continues to function as the managing director of the Pole Yard West Coast.
